During the commissioning of two (2) generator sets in the basement of a television station, one engine appeared to be damaged severely due to low low oil level. To determine damage level on the crank shaft they decided to remove the shaft from the engine and send it to a machine shop nearby. It was no option to remove the engine completly and have it send out to the machine shop so our only option was to strip the engine completely at location in order to send out only the shaft. From beginning to end we removed the shaft in three days under very difficult circumstances and limited working space.
